I'm getting ready to buy my first compressor - 3HP, 90lt belt driven from Burisch (best I can get with my budget). The main reason for it is to paint my car, but will also run a few hand tools - sander, ratchet etc.
I've done lots of reading and have come up with the following plan for some hardline to fit in the garage (fitting around existing wall furniture/sockets).
I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions. I may or may not add the air dryer in blue, depends on whether any water gets that far.
I'd also like to know if the final drain leg has to be vertical all the way, or if I can add a turn (could be 45degree to maintain downward direction) to put the end in a more convenient location (red pipe)
Total run length to the hose outlet will be about 9m. Will using 22mm copper be much better than 15mm for the distance?
Does a regulator/filter have directionality, i.e. specific in and out ports, or can it be plumbed in either direction?
Any advice gratefully recieved.
