First Welding Project

So here it is in all it's glory.
I decided I'd buch the trend with my first welding project and make a stand for my band saw rather then the obigatory welding trolley.

Things I'e learned - 1. I need more practice at welding.
and 2. having got most of the welding done but not having any threaded bar I realised while setting the welder up again once I had some threaded bar and it being all of 2 minutes of welding, I need a welding trolley and I now know why it's most peoples first project!
That also helps with lesson 1 about needing more practice so everyone is a winner!

(now to plan the welding trolley....)

Well done on your first weld. Looks good even though you can tell where yiu May have fallen short. That’s alwa6sbthe same when you make something, but you’ve no doubt learnt from it which is great.

It's an R Tech mig180. very pleased with it so far. even if I've not had much time to play with it!

good job .. often I wish I had a welder ... so I could make a cart for it. lol
yep theres a great reason weld carts make a good first project , but your band saw cart will let you make a weld cart easier so really your winning all the way , secret is to enjoy it.
