I have my mini main shell painted in almond green direct gloss but have some orange peel and dust nibs to deal with, I have tried flatting with p2000 on a rubber sanding block on my bootlid for practice but I can't feel when the paper picks up until damage is done, I have changed technique and just using the palm of my hand to flatten, using this method I can feel as soon as anything sticks to the paper and prevent any scratches, it appears to be going ok and I have then polished with g3 and it looks fine, does anyone else wet sand this way as all the guides I read advise against it but I can't get a good result any other way, blocks when flatting primer was no problem,is there a better block than the rubber one
