Now beloved is home from hospital again I can have a small fiddle.
So thought re build grinder handle/chuck assembly of My Wolf FF2C 1200/ 11500rpm flexi die grinder.
New burrs leapt about due to bearing wear, stripped both handles (1 spare) they require bearings, not a problem even though a 50s machine, then I thought seeing it is out of action a new mains lead, tick.
This is where I get carried away might as well strip step up gear box, undo the 4 screws all ok front plate of motor is the back of GB casing all slides off great no gasket or seals in box whatsoever, the 2 output shaft adapters screw onto front of alloy casing no seals to shafts or ever have been the 2 adapters have a half three quarter mm gap between them as well but no grease has ever come out of box.
It is a great old tool that owes me nothing but with new burrs
What grease would be recommended for this job, would think something with a bit of body but as you can see there are 4 bearings 3 in blind holes none with oil seals, all after cleaning feel perfect.
They are still made in India by Ralli Wolf
Design looks the same other than mine is floor standing
