flexible/rubbery paint? to go on braided sleeving.

I just re-wired something and having a roll of braided cover I used that, it looks all shiny and obviously isn't very water tight. I could do with black flexible paint to paint it with, I was going to use the braid to keep it neat then wrap it with harness tape but it's going to get a bit fat.
Anyon any ideas?

you might be able to get small pots of a latex rubber based paint, failing that, if you can mask around it try some vynil dye spray.

+1 I would have used self amalgamating tape in the first place to make it waterproof and put the braiding over that to make it look pretty.

Painting over braided sleeving is going to look 'orrible.

I am not sure what it will look like but I am[obviously] hoping it will look a bit like old braided sleeving. A bloke near me used aeroquip for all the flexi plumbing on a a 30's car, once painted matt greeny/black it looked right. I am hoping the painted braid will look a bit like that. I will have a try a bit of amalgamating tape bit on a scrap and see what it looks like. I spose it's not the end of the world if I have to leave it looking all neat and shiny, it looks loads better than the last harness, just doesn't look 75 years old;-)
I have a pot of latex paint, I used to use it for masking on paint jobs, but it's white. I have a can of tyre wall black[couldn't find it] which is ideal, but it tales months to dry; I painted a crash helmet with it, months later it was still leaving black marks wherever you put it down;-)

I've used black heatshrink with good results.
