Foot control pedal for air tool

I have recently picked up a specialized air die grinder for getting inside scooter barrels for porting work, any ideas on where to pick up a foot control pedal? There's one on ebay around £40 but would like a few options...

You could try making one using a cheap industrial ball valve linked to an improvised foot pedal of some kind ?

Or a washing machine valve, either worked through a footswitch or activated by a permanent magnet on a pedal.

Would like to have knocked something up but i'm not feeling too creative at the moment cause i've got so many other projects on the go... I reckon it would take me the best part of a day to make and that's a rare opportunity in the garage!

It just seems to be one of those items that's all over American ebay but not over here, i'll be patient and see if anything pops up.
