Hi all, i have a little project to finish off and i really want to add a trim around the edge.
It is boat hatch as here
The perpsex/acrylic or what ever it is i forgot now is 8mm thick and i am wanting to put a 12x12x2 mm channel around the edge.
Before i go faffing about trying to make the jig using the spare 8mm sheet i have i was wondering if it will work without distorting the channel to much if at all.
The radius is near 100mm and this is an idea for a jig to roll the channel around the jig made from the spare 8mm piece i have so then i can do it in one shot forts screwed down into the perspex at the start to hold it tight in place with 4mm SS screws.
A Bearing of 37 OD x12 x12 to roll it around.
3mm thick SS to hold the channel edge down for crumpling.
Pivoted on the 8mm bush inside a 12x2 Oilite bush just to protect the perspex a bit.
This lever will be moved onto each corner.
Once done removed and fitted to the screen above, the hinged side will be cut to get around the hinges so that will make it a little easier to fit the frame around i hope.
Is it worth trying to do ?
Cheers
Wayne
