Interesting, thanks. Not sure if it is as big as that but if you get them for 22 to 3/4 you will likely get them other sizes.Try these 263405302261
They are certainly simple to make, the hooking up is the only thing putting me off as it means I need to hack in to the copper pipe from compressor to tank and likely it is Imperial pipe so I will end up struggling for fittings

add a drain pipe to it then and put a ball tap on the end .my comp is behind the lathe and not easy to get atWell I know I get moisture issues, must be with being outside in the steel container. Plasma has been really crap recently even on Alu and I decided to drain the tank and see, got a load of water out and now the cutting is back to normal
Really I should check it more often but it is wedged in the corner so kind of a pain to get in to.
Well I suppose but will have a right look and see how easy it would be to hack in.I mean to see how well the expansion vessel works at catching/separating it. If it's a minimal difference it makes, no point hacking your system to fit something which may not be of too much benefit.
Yes I have a lathe, a VMC, a milling machine and various welders amongst other things, sadly I don't have a time machine.u have welding gear and a lathe

If it is 1/2" copper you don't need an adaptor to connect directly to 15mm they are so close.Interesting, thanks. Not sure if it is as big as that but if you get them for 22 to 3/4 you will likely get them other sizes.
Good to knowIf it is 1/2" copper you don't need an adaptor to connect directly to 15mm they are so close.
Will do, thanks.if you are wanting to cool the air and pull moisture out have you looked at this thread
I have read up on them & they seem to work, I'm hoping someone on here will make one & prove they work before I try making one!
As regards draining your compressor, fit a solenoid valve on the drain outlet & run it on a timer. Have it that it opens for 30 seconds every 30 minutes, should be enough to keep it drained.
Not sure about the timed solenoid valve, I think I would need to wear some bike clips if I did that as I would crap myself every time it went off
I will if I am outside when it popsvented outside you will never know about it
only if someone sneaks in and fits an air horn onto itI will if I am outside when it pops
No probs, I won't hear the air horn in Carnoustie as my workshop is in Arbroath.only if someone sneaks in and fits an air horn onto it
hmm.....day trip to Carnoustie
