My names Bob and I escaped the UK for France and have a Land Rover that weighs much more than when it first hit the road and now I have to fix the holes over the old holes when I can get my SIP 150DP to work that it is and learn from you chaps in the meantime, I hope. Hello Bob, Im not a million miles from the Cher over in Indre (36).
As it happens I also have a landrover (a 90 with the 2.5td in it) although Im blessed in that I dont have any pressing need to weld things to it, having just bought it on the basis that it was nice and solid underneath when I spent half a hour crawling round it pulling off the mud

Eh up Bob, hmmm, how many people in France? Lovely sunny day today. Incidentally I like landrovers, but hate landrover engines (admittedly the old 2.5 jobees), you can spend your entire time just trying to stop them leaking oil, Welcome.

Well I belive that it is now getting around the 1 million though the government would never admit these figures, like there are only 100,000 illegals in GB Many of course are not fully resident but intend to be I think.

Life is much slower here and the crime rate is indeed very low out in the sticks I suppose it helps to see the local gendarmarie with a great big gun by his side. But things are beginning to change.

My LR is series 3 with 2.5 derv slow but saves on speeding fines.
