I'm not convinced that article was written by an expert,

I can't see why you couldn't galv stainless, but the best way to check would be with who ever is doing your galving

In over 40 years I have never heard of galvanised stainless steel. Stainless Steel is an improvement on galvanised steel as it is "self-healing" if scratched, so why would anyone galvanise it.

Assuming that your spring bracket just happens to be made of stainless and its going to get coated with the rest of the fab. If its hot dip galvanising and pickled first it will stick but it will look different.

yes it will be fine ,done this a few times .
made this diver lift for me boat out of galv steel,all pivot points are welded in 316 then reamed after galv .
its in the worse place a marine enviroment no probs at all.
