found out about a scrap yard 7 miles from me on Friday, so thought i pop over yesterday and ended up getting a mate to pick it up in the after noon. the i beam is 3900 mm in length i plan on making it an adjustable hight gantry crane on large wheels as i wish to use it an all sorts of surfaces including fibre and rubber equestrian surface as that's where my tractor is not ideal i know but it better than outside.
the hoist is 3 phase so im wondering what sort of phase converter is needed. seen a digital one on ebay at a good price but dont know if it will work also been loking at this one http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/pc-60-5-5hp-phase-converter?da=1&TC=RV-010712795 not sure witch is best.

still cant complain for £85 plus a tenner for matey to cover for the fuel.
