Garage door repair

Ok my mate had me round to look at his garage door as it was not working, it appears the rollers/nylon wheels have disappeared. Can these be purchased seperatly? Or can I fit something else to the studs?

@123hotchef Looking at the splintering in the second pic, has someone been trying to break in?

same happened to my door, i got some nylon bar the right diameter and made 2 wheels from it, slap of grease and away you go, had to remove the weights and one runner to get it out but not too difficult.

If it's the same mate who has my treadle, I'll make a set of wheels for him

You could be posh and use a couple of small bearings.

no just the rubbing that has been occuring with no wheels

I was thinking bearings but now someone has said nylon i suppose I could cut a couple of rounds from a old chopping board drill holes push them on and fit a circlip on the end

Chopping boards are typically polypropylene, you need Nylon or Delrin I reckon. PP is a bit too squishy.

Ha ha I had already clicked the buy it now button doh didnt see the best offer part £1.99 is cheap enough hopefuly the center bore will be the same and they just snap on the pin if not a star lock washer should do the job or I have to drill them out but I have faith
