My 300 TDI Disco has gone and has been replaced by a Freelander
But it means that at last I can do some welding not related to getting through another MOT.
What do you think of my BBQ design?

oh no you have not bought a gaylander hope it's a good one more problems than a disco in my opion

Looks good, but yes, you'll want some ventilation to get air around the coals. Might I suggest a perforated coals tray too, one that can be slid out to make disposing of the spend fuel a bit easier.

Thanks for the comments. I'll go back to the (virtual) drawing board and add a grid thing to sit 50mm or so above the bottom to act as a perforated coals tray. Some slots in the sides and ends below that should be doable to provide some air flow

(Aint it a pain when people say 'Oh, how about this..... and offer dumbass advice)

Slidey thingy over the slots with corresponding slots in it so you can fanny about adjusting the airflow? Call it the Chunkulator.
Small extendable arm with hole in it to hold rehydration solutions. An essential item.
Thingumyjig to hang barbecuing tools from.
