Garden "etagere" - otherwise known as a plant stand !

Here is the stand that I have made for my wife to put plants on, outside her greenhouse. There is a 2-stage piece at the back, and a single stage piece at the front (which could be moved elsewhere and used on its own) It's the most complicated piece I have made so far. !! My wife is very pleased with it.

No I had never come across etegere before.

Misses the point entirely and wonders why the drain pipes enter the interior of the scurvy tree* - it's far too posh to be a greenhouse.

Collecting rain water in hidden water butts?
Incredibly complicated computer controlled automatic watering system with moisture level control?
Something else entirely?



* as one of my nieces called the conservatory when a toddler. It was just too good not to enter the family lexicon.

Almost..if the water is kept at the same temperature(ish) as the inside of the green house, it’s less of a shock to a the plants. Plus you don’t have to keep going outside for a can of water

Yes - that's exactly right - there is a large plastic tank under one of the benches, and it collects the rain water, and there is a hand pump to get it into the watering can.

Pre-warming irrigation water. Obvious I'm no gardener - brown side end green end up is as far as my knowledge goes.

Oh no, nowhere near pointlessly complicated enough. At a minimum needs a 12V electric pump supplying a drip irrigation distribution system. Solar panel to recharge the battery. Raspberry Pi controlling the soil moisture level and/air humidity.

Still like the etagere though.
