Gary the Grinder porter

I hate having me grinders lying about on the deck and leads all over the place so I fabbed up Gary some months back when working away.
I saw the bloke on the binky project had done summat similar so here is my version.

he also has a lightweight Rage chopsaw on his back, as I use a fair bit of 1.5mm tube etc. Its just for chopping small bits, there is an anti tilt bar at the base of the stand.

Normally, I don't use the Rage, so the table gets used for small welding jobs, its dismountable, for storage/transit.

Yeah-I know that some on here are reaching for their keyboards to post that a bloke who needs that many grinders must be a crap welder-no-I take preparation seriously..............

That is a usefull rack and table I'm all for space saving! 4 grinders at least is normal on here who wants to be changing disks all the time when you could be getting on!

get the idea form project binky? I like the grinder scarecrow they use, just haven't got space or the need for one what with only having the one grinder at present

I like the idea, especially the common power supply, if I was still steel bashing as much as I used to I would be making similar without a doubt.

I notice all the plugs are yellow, are they 110V or is it the French colour for 230V?.

I also marked the plugs with the type of accessory on the grinder, so I did not have to unwind cables to know which one I needed to unplug.

Did the same with the kitchen appliances. Bullit, Kenwood, Toaster, Kettle....you get the gist.

No, I had already made it up some months back-it was originally holding my plasma cutter, but the plasma kept tripping the supply where I was working, so I had to use cutting discs, with the flap discs and cup brush etc there were grinders all over the deck-if i put em down on the bench they got knocked off and I was getting a Mk 1 munk on, so one lunchtime Pete the plasma porter became Gary the grinder porter.

its a multi block for 230, the socket covers just happen to be yellow,its not the norm from what I've seen, my other multi block has blue covers

fair enough, still a good idea none-the-less. I was given a mig with no branding on it just before xmas that came on a trolley. the trolley was worth more than the mig, and when I tried turning it on and found it was dead I just slung it and kept the trolley. can never have too many trolleys

I must admit I didn't know who Swiss Tony was until I googled it, don't you think he bears a striking resemblance to Wheresmejumper from Cork?
