Gas escaping from torch

Hi I’m new to this I have a snap on 130 turbo I have just bought second hand as I have attached the gas it is leaking out of the torch and will not stop

Snap-on Promig 170 gas won't stop

Hi, My Snap-on Promig 170 has developed a problem where the gas won't stop coming out. The wire only feeds when the trigger is pulled but the gas solenoid clicks as soon as you plug it in. I'm pretty sure it's a circuit board issue. My question is, has anyone else had/rectified this issue or...

Inside the torch they is a plastic back that’s held in poorly on the back off the valve - really poor idea , so not like the torches on these one bit - best to change it for a better one

As above, the standard torches on these arent very good, if the gas is flowing where it should be and not leaking out everywhere you could arguably just add a solenoid inside the machine that operates off a switched 240v supply taken from the power switch or pcb connections.

But really replacing the whole torch and lead should be pretty straight forward and cheap, the smaller "14ak" style torch and lead is what you'd need as its the one with the integrated gas valve unless you want to upgrade to a euro torch and socket, but thats a whole other ordeal.

had one of these its not that bad for the money only thing was an extra cable in the sleve but a member pointed me the right way to wire it and worked very well
