Now that the Jubbily is over and before the Olympics and footy get going I decided to stop "lurking" and come out of the welding closet! I have zero experience or training in welding but am constantly finding jobs that need doing, which would have been so much easier to do if I could weld! Actually I did do one piece of welding many years ago, when I left a spanner attached to one of the poles of a 24v battery pack and closed the bonnet of an Army truck I was meant to be driving! The results were both impressive and expensive, I did however learn from that the most efficient way to peel spuds!
I have 2 areas which I hope to use my soon to be acquired welding skills in; 1/. I turn wood as a hobby and need to fabricate certain tool rests for sharpening my chisels
and 2/. I am trying to build a "recumbent" trike for me to get about on as my disability makes walking a huge effort and a normal bike is out of the question!
So that's me!
