getting airmate 5.5/200 going

Hi guys, got a couple of very old threads on here about this already but lost interest or probably didnt have any money(too many projects at once) so ground to a halt.Anyway i hopefully will see this through this time, compressor has been partially converted from 3 phase 5.5hp to single phase 3hp and also needs a new pressure switch, think thats why i landed up with it, i think the last owner just gave up.So ignoring the pressure switch what i missed last time is the motor if i am right and i might be wrong here but appears to be 4 pole as it looks to me from the plate that the rpm is 1400 so the gearing will be all wrong as i think and again correct me if i am wrong but the original motor would have been 2800rpm, has anyone got an original one to measure the motor pulley as i dont know what size it was.Right now the pulleys are 5in drive to 12in fly, any guesses what size drive pulley i would need bearing in mind the original motor was 5.5hp and this one is 3hp and its spinning at half the rate as i wouldnt like to even guess.Will be mainly used for powering impact wrench, ratchet etc for short bursts so not really worried about losing free air delivery capacity.

The original for the 5.5hp 2800 rpm motor was 150mm so 180mm for a 3hp 1400rpm looked right to me.

Ok, looks like its not as simple as that, looks like the info on that spec sheet may be wrong as when i was looking for a air filter housing i came across this http://www.fps-compressors.co.uk/mk_113.html so then after some more hunting i also found this https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/mk113-air-compressor-pump/ and this http://aztechnika.pl/pompa-sprezarka-do-kompresora-mk-113-fini-3-4-kw-p-190.html , am i right in thinking this is going to have to be geared down for a 3hp 2.2kw, if im lucky though the pulley on it is 5in so it is already geared down but is it about right?thanks for the replies.

Ok despite the last post i have found this compressor http://www.kramp.com/shop-de/en/673027/1234145/491143/MK1131503M+Fini+compr+MK+113-150-3M made by the same company as the pump with a 3hp motor but they have geared it to run at 885rpm, is there someone that is better at maths than me that can calculate motor 1440rpm 5in pulley and pump with 12in fly, what size pulley to make it spin at 885rpm, suspecting now that the spec sheet is probably right and its going to be 180mm but would just like to confirm before ordering the pulley and a gear puller to get the old one off, thanks again.

It's ok I found a calculator to do the maths for me, 180mm is about right.

Ordered most of the bits now, just need an air filter cartridge, it's not threaded so the eBay ones are no use, sip and Clarke wanted £16 and £20 postage as I live in the Highlands.

Ok, taking inspiration from some of you guys using things as an air filter for compressors that were not made for that use i have ordered this, motorbike carb airfilter,i will just drill a hole in the top to hold it against the pump with the screw.

Hi again, got everything ordered now but was just thinking this probably isnt going to run off the 3 pin plug thats fitted to it at the moment so whats the easiest option, will changing the 13amp socket to a 16amp socket do with the standard 20amp breaker?

its actually a 32 amp breaker.

Why not just spur off the 13A socket and fit a 16A socket next to it?

After looking into it a bit more I suspect if I did that I would need some protection other than the mcb with it being 32amp.

Ok, i will try running it off the 3 pin plug, if that fails i think i need 2.5mm tae a 16amp type c rcbo and a 20amp double pole switch, correct?, by the way if i need this i will buy the stuff run the cable and leave the ends for a spark to just come and hook up, thanks for the help guys.
