Giant Marble Run

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this.
Loose parts activities are big with pre schools and nurseries at the moment and my mum asked me if I could come up with an all weather marble run type thing for her place.

I settled on using 51mm sanitary elbows and tube with windows cut into them so you can track the balls as the run through.
I’m particularly pleased with the spiral section in the middle.

Nice work the spiral cut outs really look good, on the left hand side does the middle joint allow he ball to cross over

Yes it’s made of 4 elbows cut and welded together so the balls can drop either way. They can go straight on or back the way they came depending on the weight of the balls and how fast they’re going.

Hi, I suspect that is a photoshop. There is a short section in the middle that goes from the second floor window to the right hand downpipe. To what end?

Those drain pipes are nuts. Can you imagine the fun local kids must have trying to throw stones into it to hear them running down.

Love the idea of the marble run alone, let alone the care and execution.

Had thought about doing one in 40 mil drainage pipe.
