Gib key extractor

I needed to get the flywheel key out of my Petter A1 and after looking at commercial extractors (cost about £35) decided to have a bash at making my own.

A bit of 10mm plate and a holesaw followed by a lot of filing and 4 tapped holes later....

Well it fits!

Seems to be working

The end result, although why a previous owner attacked the key with an angry grinder I don't know

Next task is to figure out the best way to remove the flywheel.

This is what you need to get that flywheel off.

The hole in the middle is about the size of a standard workshop mug!

It's what my dad and I used when that style of gib puller snapped the head off the key.

I'm afraid it's not mine to sell, definitely wouldn't be cheap though.
