Amazing stuff, scrambled my brain just trying to work out how he made them. I prefer the giraffe, simple and elegant, the elephant seemed a bit over engineered.
Will I have a go at at this? No. I am happy avoiding mechanisms and engineering, at least until I get one of my Dangerously Bored days.
