I've been doing brazing for a while and then moved up to Arch welding and have just got myself a Clarke 145 MIG welder and an auto- darkening welding helmet, Wow what a difference, I can actually see what I'm welding, I also fitted a small baseball cap light to the top of the welding helmet, to help light up the darker areas when welding.

I have on small reservation with the Clarke welder though, the welding torch cable is about 7 feet long but the earthing cable is just 4 feet long. Does anybody know where I can get a longer earthing cable.

Welcome to the forum:

Earth cable can be bought from ebay and many owners have upgraded both the cable ( a bit thicker), it's length and the clamp.

Some have put a dinse socket on the case so the cable can be unplugged for tidy storage of the machine.
