Goggle/Mask Combo's, Steaming Up!!!

Hi all,

In this cold weather I am having terrible difficulties with goggles steaming up when operating my chop saw and die grinder. This is annoying, dangerous and innefficient!

I have tried seperate goggles and mask, I have also tried a combined goggle/mask from JSP but all simply end up steaming up due to breathing.

What do people use to avoid this? My final option is to try a full face shield combined with a normal dust mask, but the worry here is when using a die grinder the swarf tends to swirl upward (due to the breeze generated by the grinder) and has the potential to go under the mask, whereas proper sealed goggles will keep 99% of swarf away from my eyes.

Any advice or suggestions?

I've had face shields steaming up too.

an old trick to stop motorcycle helmet visors steaming up was to rub neat fairy liquid on the visor, let it dry and then wipe off with a dry cloth.

you can buy inserts for motorcycle visors nowadays to stop them steaming up, maybe cutting one of those up and trying it inside the goggles might do the trick.

I once had a spray to stop the bathroom mirror steaming up when the room was full of steam, spray on and wipe off..seemed to work great... fairly sure it's still doing the rounds in the shops or scambay
