I'm based in Cheshire, UK and I've shamelessly registered because I need some help identifying some welding equipment that has been left by a deceased relative.

I've got a:
BOC Transtig THF 450
Siegen 210 Turbo
Lincoln Welder, diesel, circa 1970!
And a load of masks, transformers, all kinds really.

Where would be the best place to go to sell some of it? I don't know where to start with the prices, etc.

Thanks if anyone can help, and apologies if this isn't in the spirit of the forum.

Siegen & Transtig

Licoln photos to follow. Got all kinds here, blowtorches, masks, etc. Haven't got a clue what's what and what it's worth.

If anyone is in the Merseyside / Cheshire area and is after some kit then get in touch.

I'll start listing stuff I can identify on the for sale forum as soon as I've made enough posts to qualify.

can anyone give me an idea of what these 2 are worth second hand?

i've put them on ebay and i've been inudated with people trying to buy them now.

Then just let the auction run. It's the easiest way of getting the correct value, unless someone offers you silly money. Anything over about £400 for the mig and £300 for the Tig, would be over the odds, but don't take my word for it!!!

I think (but I'm not sure) the Tig is an add-on - it needs a transformer to go with it. As for the Mig, it's a good sized single phase (?) set, so should have plenty of interest.

Yes i think it's single phase. It's got the gas bottle as well on the back.

It seems that the TIG needs an add on as well but I'm sure there must be a transformer lying round somewhere.

Yeah, the Transtig is just an add on box, may well have been used with the generator....
