Good Supplier for Aluminium Oxide ?

Looking to getting into a bit of glass etching and wondered where the best place to get the aluminium oxide from ?

I have phoned a few places and the price seems to vary a lot from £25 for a 25kg bag from AbraClean to about £40 from HodgeClemco.

Delivery to the Isle of Man is another £20 odd quid so looking to get it delivered to the in-laws in morecambe and pick it up when we are over in October.

Does anyone have a supplier they recommend ?

silver sand used to be used for glass etching. dificult to get now but b and q sell something for other purposes thats just as good

Great idea, they buy theirs by the tonne so you should get a decent discount, Just do a google for "SandBlasters" in your area for a list of them

Funnily enough I found that website today ! The guy is due to get back to me about price and availability.

If not then I will have to buy some when I go over to the UK in October.
