Introducing Gracie the grasshopper...

My sister gave me a broken wrench for my welding scraps box.
I returned it with a few extra bits from the box welded on.
Gracie now has a nice spot in her garden

Nice idea, great result, looks really cool.
I simply cannot do that sort of thing either. I can make a grass hopper I'm sure but no way would I of thought a knackered pipe wrench would be the star of the show yet looking at it now nothing else would do that job the same.

Looks really good what are the legs made from?

The front legs are from some weird storage hooks I was given, already in a U shape & coated in red plastic.
The rear legs are a fence post, like slim angle-iron with corrugated edges. I sliced these up with a 1mm angle-grinder disc to get the shape I wanted, then added motorbike spokes and gas-cannisters underneath.
