I’ve always struggled with these,my latest and least troublesome one works a bit then stops,when you change a cartridge it’s even more unpredictable,I imagine the problems are with airlocks,is there a successful way to bleed these just once when changing a cartridge?

That type is meant to be quite good.

Is it a genuine fuchs?

I never got on with those type guns.
Alemite are always trouble free, but the biggest thing is storage of the cartridges, store them with the big cap facing upwards and the gun with the nozzle facing downwards and you will iliminate most your problems. 8f stored horizontally or the wrong way up grease being liquid will let air pockets settle in the wrong place around the cartridges

I have found that on the guns that take a cartridge inside a canister its best to leave the canister loose in the pump head until its bled, then tighten. Not had a problem since I started doing this.

Never seen one like that. What pushes the grease up the cartridge?

Ah okay.

Fuchs Renolit grease cartridges work with a gun like that. I think they more or less guarantee you won't get an air lock.
