Hello, newbie from L.A. Found this site threw Google. I've been happily reading for a few days now. Learning a lot. Ordered a Lincoln Weldpak 3200 HD to do some work on my truck ('69 Chevy C-20), patiently waiting for Fedex to deliver it. I had a quick question, what grit flap disks do you guys use to take a weld down?

Depends what it is you're grinding. If it's bodywork I'd probably go with 80. Anything heavier and I'd head straight for 40.

You may want a 120 if you hit some particularly thin patches of bodywork. Thin stuff isn't really my area, TBH!
