Hello everyone,
I have been arc welding for a bit know and pestered my dad into getting me a MIG welder, anyway i got a real bargain it's a Clarke 151TE in really good condition only a few years old for £20, it required a little bit of fixing but i have done it and am now the proud owner of a MIG welder.

I look forward to learning tricks and tips from you guys (and gals to be p.c.) on the forum.

Hi Jennings, welcome to the forum.

The Clarke for £20 is a bargain. They still make them so it can't be old. What was srong with it?

You should be fine with MIG after a bit of arc welding - same principle of getting a weld pool and keeping it going without making holes, but the MIG gives you much more control.

It needed the torch assembling, a new wire insulator feeding through the hose, a new lock washer for the wheel and a new shroud. I was gobsmacked at how little needed doing for the price but he needed it taking off his hands to make room for his new industrial MIG welder.
