Hey folks,

I've just joined today, though I have been looking around the site for a while, for different bits and bobs.

As there's not much to do in Orkney, I spend a lot of time in the workshop tinkering and building things, I will post up some of my projects past and present

Did not get the job but lost the plot anyway.
My picture of Orcadian life was shed dwelling madness in the winter and all day long outdoor madness in the summer, well in between the midges and the rain.
Projects are always nice to see.

Haha you hit the nail on the head with your summary of orkney life Chunko!, although I've spent all of today in the shed in me overalls sweating on the hottest day in Scotland.

Hi M4TT, I was there over the county show period but didn't attend. Had a most enjoyable couple o weeks though. Fishing and had a good catch of couthes and lythe, then a friend gave me some partans. Can't beat it.......

Hi Paul, I've only been here on rare occasions these past couple of years due to other commitments that were keeping me busy. Strange you should ask about a workshop, I have only found one which will be available to me this week. It's going to take quite a bit of repair and transformation to suit my needs, but who cares, I can take my time and do it at my own pace. Good to hear from ya...
