Hello all!

Someone on another forum that I frequent posted a link to this one as a good source of welding information. After a cursory lurking about, I will say I have to agree with them.

In the way of an introduction - I am a former automotive technician who spends my time at home now in my "man cave". (Basement work/hobby/machine shop.) I have been gas/stick/MIG welding for a number of years, but just recently purchased my first TIG welding machine. Trying to teach myself the process and hoping to learn all I can from those that have been there before me.

It certainly seems to be a great group of individuals here. I see much more civility here than on some "other" forums. I am looking forward to a good education from you folks.

Welcome to the forums from the Southeast

I am similar, spend much time in my "man cave". Started with MIG but moved up to arc and TIG.

Still need more work in TIG but i do like it. This forum has been a great help getting me going.

Hi Willie and welcome from the wilds of Cumbria..sort of North and West of England as far as you can go without getting your feet wet.
Don't forget to post some pics of your work if you have any, others always enjoy seeing projects.
