Hi All,
Thought I'd introduce myself as I've been lurking around on here for about 4 weeks now.
I swore blind I would never join a forum having seen how awful some people can get in expressing their opinions. However the first thing I noticed was how friendly and helpful everyone is, yes they may give constructive criticism from time to time but that is what it is constructive not destructive.
So why am I here? I've been looking to do something that I can take into retirement in about 10 years time that'll give me something to do and maybe even give me a bit of pocket money!
About 2 weeks ago I spent a couple of days with a certain celebrity artiste who occasionally posts on this site! A warning to everyone if you don't want to get hooked and have a brilliant couple of days, stay well clear. The mans honesty and enthusiasm is addictive! I had this idea for a fruit bowl so poor chunkolini was my "apprentice" making the rings while I had fun welding, not the best I know but for a beginner I was pleased.
Now I've got to spend money
on a welder, helmet, gloves, a decent vice and perhaps some sort of cutting tool. Would love a Plasma cutter but that one will have to wait unless anyone will share next weeks wining lottery numbers....... No, thought not, oh well
