Hello everyone,
I have just treated myself to a second hand welder from eBay, a Clarke 151TE which apparently is a reasonably good MIG. I have absolutely NO experience welding at all. I have had a fair few hours on youtube though watching tutorials so now it is time to give it a go!
I have no other welding equipment just yet, but i will be browsing the forums as no doubt hundreds of newbies like me have asked "what is the best helmet/gloves/jacket/etc to get?" so i shall not start a fresh one
My first project will be to make a little welding table! More ebaying for angle/box section steel and a top plate.
I have some basic tools to assist in my endeavours, such as a 4 1/2" angle grinder with cutting discs, sanding plates, etc. I will be looking on getting myself a decent hacksaw very shortly and some magnetic angles, set squares, etc.
So, that is me. It will be great getting to know you all and picking your brains
