Ok I'm 50, and therefore half dead to most in here I guess . I live in Newbury, hold C&G in motor mechanics, however due to medical reasons I do not work, and no its not just lazyitis. I started out as a carpenter from school untill I found I had severe asthma and couldn't breathe with all the sawdust about so hence the different trade, I suffer with severe depression and rarely go out of my own home due to panic attacks and such like.
I did a bit of welding when I did my mechs course and frankly I hated gas welding it scareed the hell out of me with all the popping and banging, but I thought I would give welding another go a year or so ago, I managed to fix an old cebora mig welder and lately thanks to another person on the forum I repaired and got working an old SIP spot welder, I don't actually do a lot of welding but I like the idea of going back into repairing car bodywork at home which was something I enjoyed as a teenager before I took the mechs course. I love Minis, the older ones, and Cavaliers.
I have a long suffering wife who never moans at me for not being able to work and two kids. we don't ever have much or any money to spare but when we get some my wife is good and doesn't really moan at me for spending the odd twenty quid of tools saying at least I don't gamble or drink it away.
Owing to the fact I rarely go out I have very few friends, in fact I have two that I call good ones. So life is a bit boring not that I would "like" to invite many people round, as I said we dont have much and the house is lacking in shall we say refinements.
So there you go now you know a bit about me.
