Guy Martin Pub

Randomly went back to a cracking country pub went to a few years back with two work mates and turns out is now owned by Guy Martin and run by his sister (I think). Fantastic pub, Guy's sister is lovely, waitress gave us a lift to the hotel as there was no taxi. Food was proper homemade food, proper beer etc. Fantastic night out and if Humberside drop in.

Been in it loved it, the gents toilet is shall we say different, also has the BSA rocket 3 (not in the gents)he raced at Cadwell as well as other memorabilia, his sister's a nice lass an all.

I’m guessing Guy is going to fire up his Merlin engine in the beer garden once a month to blow away the crisp packets, fag butts and scattered dry roasted peanuts.

We asked about the Merlin, hasn't happened. Plenty of plane photos and stuff about. Also his first motorbike, not as good as my YZ80J though. ;-)

He owns the building and is her business I think. The food was big portions of homemade grub and it's a freehouse so some good ales, nicely done up and two fires. They've had two wall of death days there the taxi driver said. I only found out Guy owned it just before we were leaving so don't know much about it.

Guy has just signed one of the drawers on my toolbox. Apparently he was a top bloke about it. Now I know where to go to thank him !
