Guyson Super 7

My work is scrapping this Guyson Super7 blasting cabinet and extractor. I’m tossing up whether I should fork out for the transport or not, anyone know much about them? Would I need the extractor or could I fit a smaller unit and save on the cost of transporting it to Aberdeen?

I don't know, But if it was only to be used for non commercial projects (i.e.; hobby use) then the extractor might not be needed,

Thanks Gordon. A mate of a mate uses a Henry vacuum cleaner on his smaller one.

I used one in the '80's it eas excellent,don't remember any extractor.

There is one where i work its top notch the extraction is pretty loud but the hopper holds a good amount of media and the cabinet is a good size might be worth a punt if you've got the space.

I use a 4 inch woodchip extracta on mine and just blow the dust outside no problem clouding up

are you interested in selling (both together) instead ?

I can transfer you funds and get them picked up by a pallet company no problem...

(don't mean to be too cheeky asking, no worries if you tell me to sod off etc.... I've wanted one for a long time, thought there's no harm in asking)

Thanks. Needs a bit of tlc and modifying for my purpose but very happy. Just going to get a garage tent to use as a spray both for now.

I have it's identical twin sister - very handy

Though it's surprising how difficult it is to get at bigger / longer bits despite the turntable. I have mine on my normal 'air distribution loop' powered by my 4kW Hydrovane which is ok for the odd clean up job but for prolonged blasting I have a 3/4" quick disconnect on the distribution system outside next to my 'road compressor' which will run it for as long as you feed it diesel

Do you have a separate blast pot or just use the Syphon fed system? What size tip do you use?

The bottom hopper is full of grit, bonus free grit. ;-)

I just use the siphon system - tip size I haven't a clue I'll have a look when I'm next in the welding shop
