hi , i,m another newbie to forum ,my job is welder fabricator ( mig, tig, stick , oxy actylene )
has anyone got or used a H F control unit to convert a stick welder to a TIG welder ?? i have just purchased one from ebay its a SUREWELD TYPE "C" and would like any advise / criticism on these units , never used one myself , but i got it with a DC output stick welder a sureweld linear 250 amp this set up was used for welding stainless with the DC output . i bought it hoping to be able to use it on my cytringhan 180 amp oil cooled stick set to weld aluminium as the oil cooled set is AC output which is needed for aluminium, some of these type of HF units where AC/DC others where DC only . has anyone come across the sureweld type "C" ????
i look forward to hearing anyones views on this subject , cheers steve.
