Handle tools use

Picked these up in a auction lot some time ago and would like to know what you think they are used on/for.

Hammer drills, for rawl p,ugs

They are Hammer drills.

You strike the end and rotate it and it drills it way into stone.

They are usefull, but you need a decent hammer to make any deep hole.

I have a Black and Decker hammer (it's not a drill) and those bits are the same. I used to have a chisel bit that went with it but I lent it to an idiot who drove it into concrete without moving it on the way in and it jammed in and wouldn't come out. They are very well made.

In Russia I have seen them used with a slave of the not drilling end and a hammer used.

But looking again I see what you mean.
