Melted a welding Helmet? Customer of mine came in. Picked up a fixed shade mask, bought to the counter and aske what warranty was on it. This immediately rings alarm bells as it usually means they want to do a job and bring it back for a refund. (ain't never gonna happen if they just change their mind)
Anyway, turns out, he has to get really close when he is welding in order to see the weld pool. and that is how he melted the last helmet (also fixed shade) Suggested an auto darkener with cheater lenses. But no joy, Suggested a lighter shade glass in the fixed shade, No joy. Gave up and took his money.
