Hi Everyone,
Really pleased to join this forum. Great website Malcolm, have been learning loads reading the various sections I'll be hitting the Donate button shortly
I've joined up as am just about to buy my first welder as I've finally got a decent workshop to play with my projects;
First up is a 1967 Morris Cooper which has had two owners from new. My uncle bought it in 1990 to restore but has been unable to due to ill health. The first owner kept every receipt from new and I have a file stuffed full of details. The mini was kept immaculate during this ownership, but is now, um, needing major work
Will post some pics of me sweeping the bits up off the floor in the Projects section
Seond project is (don't laugh) a Rover Metro that needs new sills and rear arches. Apart from that, it's mint, has leather, wood, electrics etc and just one owner and 40k from new. Bought as a runaround for a year or so, now want to keep it as these are getting rare now (1990 model) and to me it is the last, all British Supermini
Anyway, sorry for the ramble, but look forward to taking part. Shopping for a welder at the moment so prepare for the usual stupid questions! First thoughts are a Clarke 135TE or 151TE.
Cheers
John
