Hi im Dave from Newcastle, ive just got myself a Sealy Mightymig 150 Gas/Gasless.
At the moment i buy cheap trailers and do them up and sell them on again.
But maybe when i get lots of practice in on the wellder i may have a go at making my own trailer or Motorbike carrier.

Hi Dave and welcome, sounds a nice little sideline, I used to make trailers years ago as a paying hobby but rising material prices and cheap mass manufactured trailers killed the trade.

I was thinking of making bike carriers like the ones you attach to the towbar,
or maybe a towing dolly. They dont seem too trickey to make.

I think you would need testing certification for them, then you enter the liability insurance game and of course HMRC if you have not already registered, becomes costly but not as costly as a claim for a bad accident if one of your items fails.

Even hobby work is jumped on by HMRC.
