Hi new to the forum, indeed new to welding. keen to learn, usually by my mistakes! Looks a great site and forum.
I have a s2a Land Rover that needs some MIG action hence me taking up the torch.

Hi Harvey639 and Geoff 1 and thanks for the welcome. I think I shall be using the forum on regular occasions as I attempt to become (mildly) proficient in the art of the MIG.
Indeed, Geoff, the S2 is a pleaseure to drive; free tax and £60 insurance is just about as close to free motoring you can get. Also it will carry just about anything and anyone!

Thank you Mick,I wish I had not sold my old 2a,it ran like a swiss watch with the 2 1/4 petrol engine,mine was ex military spec,(so lower compression ratio).
Dont be shy asking for advise here,on welder choice or general tips/help,there is a veritable wealth of knowledge available which could well save you money & time in getting set up right.
