Hi , I have just found this forum and am not going to lie i need shed loads of advice.
I have been using an old stick set for a few years doing odds and sods around the garage ,now however i would like to move into the world of MIG gas/gasless again only for home use .
When i started looking it quickly became apparent that i was going to need LOTS of help and advice choosing the right equipment ,what is the maximum amperage i can use without blowing my 13 amp supply , is gasless better then gas , are the budget sets on e-bay -amazon any good ? along with about hundred other questions .
So any guidance on this would be massively appreciated ,Thanks

im already infront of you did the same thing myself

mig is different but only getting used to where to place the gun and use the gun

gasless is ok as long as you get a good roll but gas is even better

all depends on the costs involved to what you buy

clarke 151 blue also needs

mig wire 20.00 or more
gas expect 80.00+ for a good gas bottle from hobbyweld or a boc contract

welding capacity 0.8mm up to 5mm thick steel go back to arc any thicker

above 150 amps you can weld thicker and so the price increases

there is a few other models you can use on 13amps

I run my Clarke TE230 off a normal 13amp plug.
It will sometimes blow a fuse on the max setting but happy all day long one notch down.
