Hi,dont know if I did something wrong but taken ages to be able to post message...anyhow hello from North Yorkshire.
Found the site after typing mig welding into yahoo...great site!...good info.I been welding on and off with gas/arc for 20 years (now 47) but never used Mig untill the other day when I got a Mig to repair my Morris Minor...had great trouble with it and ended up using the trusty rod welder, but tricky to avoid blowing holes of course.
Anyhow going to have another go now with the info here should master it!...I just coculd not see the wire after being used to the rods...plus was using gasless wire so maybe that does not help.
Anyhow thats me intro....hope not boring......seems some clever people on the site with good projects...me just the morris at the moment lol.

Welcome to the forums.

Yes, flux MIG (MAG) is a pain and hard to see. If you switch to gas MIG you will find it much easier. You can see the weld pool and it is far cleaner.
