Hello there, looks like I've stumbled on a goldmine here
Ever since doing some TiG work at college I've always enjoyed it far more than any other types of welding so a couple of years back I bought a Cebora scratch start set from eBay and took out a BOC contract (I never realised until I found this place that you can get much cheaper gas from an independent supplier - I'll be changing when this bottle is done!). I've since replaced the Cebora with a cheapo Chinese Rehmann TiG160 HF start which, in fairness, has worked beautifully for a couple of years now.
I mainly use the set to make shiny trinkets for my various bikes in stainless, such as this fairing bracket for my old Guzzi:
I'd love a good quality AC set but currently can't justify the expense for the limited use it would get.
I've already gained a vast amount of knowledge from lurking here, looking forward to expanding it and maybe even adding some of my own in future.
Alex
