Hi I'm Richard, been having a nosey around the forum for a while so thought I had better say hello and thank you. I need something to fill my time in, as I took early retirement last year. Seeing the stuff you all make, welding seems very rewarding.The only welding I have done so far, is to make myself a work bench, I think I may have gone over the top with it, as at one point it was worth more as scrap than all the tools in the shed. Long term I would like to learn vehicle welding, may be salvage an old tractor or 4x4 from a scrap yard and give it a face lift.

its not over engineering, just being cautious... trying to convince myself that the planned legs et al will be sufficient, to the extent of building an office to force me in to a quick decision. (the work top is currently on top of the proposed office desk )
