Hi everyone
Just to introduce myself I'm Dave I am currently serving in the armed forces but looking to be leaving in the next year and a half with the intention of hopefully going back home to Aberdeen to work Offshore hopefully as a Trainee Welder and with any luck eventually an Underwater Welder. My father In Law has been working in the Oil Industry for the last 30 years and has built up a very large network of contacts so will hopefully help me get some work when the time comes.
I am trying to learn MMA and TIG as MMA is what is used mostly in Underwater Welding applications and TIG is used for Hyperbaric Applications. I intend to do an Intensive Welding Course during my resettlement the best looking one I have found is at Wakefield Skill Centre has anyone had any experience of this course?
Though I would like to do some evening classes at the local college my current work commitments mean I would often end up missing them as I'm often away during the week. So until I go on the course I want to get as good as I can.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Dave
