Hi everyone,
Just thought I would put a quick post up to say hi. I am a total newbie to welding and am currently on the re-build stage of a 1956 Splitscreen Campervan project. I have always had to rely on a mate if I need any little bits of welding doing but have decided to purchase my own welder so I can have a bash at things myself. I plan to purchase a Clarke gas/gasless welder from Machine mart as looking on here they seem to be pretty good machines but am currently waiting for a VAT free day to come up. I have seen on other forums there are ones on at the moment but not in my local store but fingers crossed one will come up soon. I probably have around £300-£350 to spend so hopefully be able to get a good quality welder.
Then its just a case of practice, practice, practice. I have'nt done any welding before but have looked at loads of tutorials and will have a go and see how I get on.
