Just bought an old (classic) mini, after a gap of a few years, so will be getting plenty of practice with that
I have an old SIP
which was poor at the best of times but now has been unused for about 6 years. I will either make some mods to see if I can fix it up or save up for something decent like a portamig?
The other reason for the old car apart from fun is to teach my son some skills mechanical, electrical and welding as he is 15 and my father prepared me for life in the same way

and I agree... great idea with the son, I showed my Daughters the 'what's what' basics of how a car works and common faults but they drew the line at crawling underneath to change the oil
