Hello from a complete novice

Just trying out the posting really.
Never welded a thing in my life and just got my gear delivered today. I'm still not sure why I got it but don't think that matters just now All new and shiny but not exactly bristling with instructions. Next job is to clear space in the garage to set it up and then get gas, a reducer for the standard gauge that came with it and wire. I have been looking at some of the postings on this site and guess that I will be a frequent visitor, hopefully with not too many disasters.
Anyway, here goes

That is just what I did, simple dabble in a new field, a toe in the water.

Ruined my life it did. It took over and became an obesssion to the point where it is what I do for a living. Welcome aboard. This place willbe a great help.
